As duplas Duda/Ana Patrícia e Arthur/Evandro foram campeãs da Etapa de Brasília do Cicuito Mundial de Vôlei de Praia neste domingo (5). As meninas venceram as americanas Nuss/Kloth para conquistar o título. Já os meninos, bateram os holandeses Van de Velde/Immers.
Duda e Ana Patrícia venceram as norte-americanas por 2 sets a 0. A vitória, com relativa tranquilidade, começou a ser construída já nos primeiros pontos da parcial inicial. Empurradas pelos torcedores, as brasileiras não tiveram trabalho para fechar o primeiro set em 21/17. A segunda parcial foi ainda mais tranquila, com Ana Patrícia e Duda vencendo por 21/14.
Depois da partida, as duas analisaram suas atuações e projetaram o futuro, principalmente nos Jogos de Paris.
– A gente está muito feliz, a gente sabe que jogar no Brasil é muito especial, todo mundo tem essa energia, todos os torcedores compareceram aqui desde o primeiro jogo. A gente sabe que o nosso foco é Paris, mas cada jogo, cada torneio é muito importante no nosso ritmo de jogo, para tentar fazer o melhor lá. A Patrícia se superou, teve esse momento aí difícil com o tio, e ela sempre dá essa virada de chave, ela é muito forte – comentou Duda.
Horas antes da decisão, Ana Patrícia recebeu a notícia do falecimento de um tio e não escondeu a emoção após a vitória.
– É muito especial, não foi um dia fácil, por conta do falecimento do meu tio, mas acho que a gente conseguiu superar. A Duda jogou demais, uma das coisas que eu mais me alegro no nosso time, com certeza, é essa força de vontade de ajudar uma a outra nesses momentos de dificuldade. E hoje, foi ‘um monstro’, me ajudou a defender o tempo inteiro, me colocou pra cima o tempo inteiro, fez a diferença na hora que tinha que fazer, e eu acho que tudo isso torna esse dia, na medida do possível, o mais especial – desabafou Ana Patricia.
Arthur e Evandro venceram os holandeses Van de Velde e Immers e ainda conquistaram vaga para os Jogos Olímpicos. A vitória, entretanto, foi construída com uma certa dose de drama. Os holandeses abriram 1 a 0 e deixaram a torcida brasileira apreensiva. Porém, a dupla da casa deu a volta por cima e venceu os outros dois sets (23/21 e 15/9) para sair com o título. A dupla falou sobre a conquista e sobre a vaga para as Olímpiadas.
– É difícil falar nesse momento. Foi uma corrida olímpica diferente, mais curta que as outras. Alguns times da corrida olímpica estavam juntos há quatro, cinco anos. E nós há um ano e quatro meses. Sabíamos que seria bem complicado, pelo pouco tempo do time, mas nunca deixamos de acreditar. Nos mudamos para Vitória, saímos da nossa zona de conforto, montamos uma comissão técnica nova, um trabalho novo. Fomos degrau por degrau, sem desmerecer ninguém. Fomos trabalhando e nada mais recompensador do que conquistar um objetivo tão importante quanto uma vaga olímpica – celebrou Evandro.
